Resigned 3.11.1878 Joined Metropolitan Police S Division - Hampstead 6.1.1879. Warrant No. 63182. Place of residence on mariage Queen Street Police Station, Marylebone. 1881 Census living at 104 Albany Street. 14/02/1891 Police Sergeant based Southwark (M Div) 01/11/1902 Staion Serageant SN 91 based at Kentish Town (Y Div) subject to disciplinary action, demoted to Sergeant SN 48 and transferred to Limehouse (K Div) Retired from police on 25.1.1904 from K Division Bow aged 47. Pension was £67 8s 9d. At time or retirement lived at 26 Moreton Road, Portway, West Ham. Died of diseased heart valves. Death certificate states working as a nightwatchman and lived at 10 or 70 Horley Road, Barking.
